Newborn & Baby Photography questions, answered
- When should we book a newborn shoot?
- The classic window is the first two to three weeks, when newborns sleep deeply and curl naturally. That said, we happily photograph older babies too, so do not worry if those early weeks have passed.
- Is it safe, and how long does it take?
- Safety comes first, always. We work slowly, gently and entirely around your baby, with plenty of breaks for feeding and settling. Sessions are unhurried and usually take a couple of hours.
- Can parents and siblings be in the photos?
- Yes, and those are often the most treasured frames. Family portraits with the new arrival are a natural part of the session at no extra charge.
- What do we need to bring?
- Just your baby and the essentials: feeds, nappies and a spare outfit. We will guide everything else. A warm room and a relaxed pace do most of the work.
- How much does newborn photography cost?
- Most UK newborn sessions fall between roughly £150 and £400 depending on time and the number of edited images. Tell us what you are after for a quote.
